Busy, busy, busy!
It’s going to be a busy autumn for the 15 talented painters, potters, jewellers, printers and glassworkers from the ArtSpring Gallery in Tonbridge. As well as welcoming painter Steve Lunn and jeweller Julia Stockwell-Hamid to the fold, there will be guest appearances by exciting local artists. Then there’s a group exhibition at the Trinity Art Centre in Tunbridge Wells, an Open Art Competition – and not to mention preparing the gallery for Christmas. Phew!
“I’m very excited to be joining the Artspring collective” say Steve. I’m always looking for new experiences and inspiration and then expressing this in different mediums – including pencil sketches, oil painting and hand carved wood block prints.”

He’ll also be joining the Artspring artists in an exhibition at the Trinity Art Centre in Tunbridge Wells from 12 – 22 October. “This is a new venture for us,” says painter Katie Whitbread who is overseeing the event. “We’ve been working to share our work with a wider audience, and the Trinity is a great venue for taking this forward. We’ll also be inviting artists in October to apply to an open exhibition called ‘Transformation’ which will take place in February next year.”
