Brighton College: More A*/9s than ever before!
This year, pupils at Brighton College have outshone themselves, achieving record-breaking results across the board, with more A‑level grade A*s and GCSE grade 9s than ever before.
At A‑level, an impressive 49% of all grades were A*, with an exceptional 98% of all grades A*-B. The achievements of the school’s top performers were particularly impressive, with 67 pupils achieving at least three A* grades. 34 pupils achieved four A*s or more, with four of those pupils achieving a remarkable 6 A*s! GCSE results were equally outstanding, with a staggering 63% of all grades at Grade 9. In total, pupils achieved nearly 1,300 Grade 9s, an astonishing 98% of all grades were 9 – 7 (A*-A), and an incredible 59 pupils achieved a clean sweep of 9 or more Grade 9s.
The College’s success extends to specific subjects as well, with over 100 A*s in Maths and Further Maths A‑levels. Their English department also celebrated exceptional achievements, with three pupils receiving subject awards for the best English A‑level results in the UK. Additionally, one pupil was awarded the highest mark in the country for English Literature GCSE.

Brighton College’s A‑level pupils are now moving on to the world’s most prestigious universities. While Cambridge remains their top destination, pupils have secured places at nearly every one of the global top 30 universities, including Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth and Princeton.
