Our children achieve a high level of skill under the excellent direction of our specialist games teachers. From the Foundation Stage, carefully planned activities enable the children to improve co-ordination and proficiency in basic skills which are transferred into games situations as they progress through the school.

We play matches regularly against other schools in the area and we enter teams in festivals, tournaments and competitions locally and further afield as members of the ISA. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have weekly fixtures and all the children in these years get to experience matches.

Membership of the ISA enable us to compete against school’s form across the South East in range of sports. As a small school, often competing against much larger schools, we are particularly proud of our record. We compete fiercely and successfully in many regional and national tournaments.

Recent successes have highlighted the depth of talent across the school.

Our girls’ U11 football team were crowned ISA National Champions before going on to win the Girls North Wealden Football title, securing their place in the District Finals in January. Our boys’ U11 side have similarly impressed, qualifying for the National Finals to be played at England’s training ground, St George’s Park.

This season has also been highly successful for our netball teams, with both the U11 and U9 squads winning their tournaments at the Webster Cup hosted by Battle Abbey, proudly bringing home the trophies in their respective age groups.

And most recently, our U11 squad have just won the ISA London South U11 Netball Tournament 2026. They beat 8 teams to go on to win the quarter and semi finals and are now off to the National Finals!

These accomplishments reflect more than sporting ability. Every child benefits from specialist coaching that nurtures confidence, commitment and steady improvement, including pupils who may initially find sport challenging. Through encouragement, inclusive training and an emphasis on teamwork and enjoyment, every child is supported to find their place. Talent is developed, participation is celebrated, and sport is truly woven into daily school life.
