Queen for the Day
Leeds Castle, often referred to as the ‘Castle of Queens’ (as six medieval queens have called it home), certainly lives up to its other moniker as the ‘loveliest castle in the world’ when it comes to the beautiful moat, grounds and gardens including Mediterranean terraces. It is also home to the unique Dog Collar Museum and 2,400 yew tree maze, which when viewed from the centre mimics a queen’s crown.
Wilderness Woods, Hadlow Down, are hosting a Herbal High Tea and Well-being Treatments for mothers on Mother’s Day. Treat and nourish your mum with a springtime walk in the woods, a ‘taster’ treatment session and delicious high tea.
We have a plethora of gin distilleries in the South East, why not book a tour to learn about the process and of course sample some of the many varieties.
Feel the power of steam as you travel in style through the beautiful Sussex countryside, aboard the Wealden Rambler, the Bluebell Railway afternoon tea train. Enjoy a relaxing journey whilst enjoying a delicious afternoon tea.
The Historic Dockyard Chatham is home to the television series Call the Midwife. If you and your mum are a fan of the series, you can explore where the real drama takes place and spot familiar locations whilst following a guided tour.
