Dressed to chill

It’s January and it’s time to brace the new year. So why not blow away the cobwebs and strut your stuff on the Bexhill promenade? If you’re looking for a great day out, anytime of year, then the East Sussex seaside town, home to County Clothes, is the place to visit.

Imagine the fresh salty breeze as you stroll along the coastline, on a cold winter’s day, the atmosphere may be chilly, but not you, because you’re all wrapped up. Layering is essential during the early months of the year so you can be prepared for any changes in temperature throughout the day, especially when the glorious winter sunshine fills the sky and warms the air, you’ll want to be able to peel off a layer or two.

Nothing feels cosier than brushed cotton, or cotton rich, twill shirts, like the new ranges from Kings Road, available in rich winter colours designed to complement the zip neck, crew neck and zip through knitwear (only available from the County Clothes, Bexhill store).

To counter the grey skies, now is the time of year to embrace colour. During winter we all bury ourselves in grey, black and neutral colours, but really, it’s the time to be bright and bold and have more fun with colour. Team the cosy top layers with a pair of Bruhl cotton twill trousers, or cords, in a range of fabulous colours, and you have the basis of your new winter wardrobe.

Bexhill is the ideal place to throw on your coat, scarf and cap and enjoy the diversity of the area. The featured knitwear is modelled by JJ from the Bexhill store.
