Rock stars of the plant nursery world to take their show on the road in 2022

The Plant Fairs Roadshow in 2022 will roll into some of the most prestigious and floriferous estates in Kent, London, Hertfordshire, East Sussex and West Sussex carrying an amazing array of unusual, interesting and rarely offered plants and showcasing British plant-growing talent. Featuring headline multi-award winning acts’ like Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Daisy Roots, Edulis, exotic specialist Plantbase, Pelham Plants, Blueleaf Plants, Pineview Plants, Charleshurst Farm Nursery, Miles Japanese Maples, Riverside Bulbs, Southon Plants, Swallowfields Nursery, Rose Cottage Plants, Madrona, Phoenix Perennials, Forget Me Not and many more.

Grown and nurtured in the UK

The first Roadshow gig will take place at Hole Park in Rolvenden in Kent on Sunday 13th of February; plant nurseries such as Copton Ash, Spring Platt Snowdrops and Galanthophile members of the Kent group of Hardy Plant Society, will top the bill with an incredible range of snowdrops, and other nurseries such as Charleshurst Farm Nursery, Swallowfields offer early shrubs and perennial. As usual their resident plant doctor Quentin Stark will be on hand to offer advice and plant suggestions.

At the peak of their tulip festival, Arundel Castle will host the Plant Fairs Roadshow on 24th April. Visitors to the Show will be able to enjoy the setting for one of the largest displays of tulips in the country. Nurseries in attendance will include Daisy Roots, Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Pineview Plants with Epimediums and Chailey Iris Garden among many others.

Blooming May is a busy month for the Roadshow with a first-time appearance on the 1st May at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, followed on the 8th of May by a return to the plant hunters paradise of Borde Hill in West Sussex, Telegraph Hill in London on the 14th of May and Myddelton House, life-long home of famous botanist EA Bowles in Enfield, on the 22nd of May.

The stunning Sussex Prairies Gardens in Henfield West Sussex will host a summer show by the Plant Fairs Roadshow on the 5th of June featuring Cottage Garden Plants, Mrs Mitchells Kitchen & Garden, Pelham Plants, Phoenix Plants (entomological expert and columnist Marina Christopher) and many more showcasing perennials, grasses and summer-loving plants. 

On the 26th of June the Roadshow will roll through the medieval gates of Herstmonceux Castle Estate for the very first time. Plant nurseries such as Beechbridge Plants, Blueleaf Plants, Clares Chillies and Pineview Plants, Swallowfields Nursery alongside many more, will showcase their incredible collections.

First time venues, alongside historical Herstmonceux this year also include the National Trust jewel Sissinghurst Castle Garden in Kent. Supporting the NGS, the Plant Fairs Roadshow will display their collections at the famous Castle in Kent, created by Vita Sackville West on 18th September.

Late Summer Plant Fairs will see the Roadshow return for a second time in 2022 to Hole Park on the 21st August, Sussex Prairies on the 4th September, Borde Hill on the 11th September.
