A Real Look at Country Life

The Heathfield Agricultural Show is full steam ahead on 28th May.

Saturday, 28 May 2022 sees the return of the Heathfield Agricultural Show for its 75th anniversary. Combined with the launch of the East Sussex Queen’s Green Canopy initiative celebrating the Queen’s jubilee of 70 years on the throne, this promises to be a day of rejoicing over all that is good in the High Weald area, with local producers, farmers and business coming together as a huge shop window heralding all that the show is proudly promoting.

The usual cattle, sheep, pig and horse shows will be very much in evidence, complemented with the High Weald Dog Agility, Flower Show and Young Farmers’ competitions, not forgetting the New Enterprise Zone where new businesses have an opportunity to promote their products, plus the ever popular Poultry marquee. Displays in the main arena in 2022 will include the Broke FMX motorcycle display, the Shetland Pony Grand National and our young members’ horseback fancy dress competition.

The RAF have promised to organise a Hurricane flyover, providing the weather stays fine and the Horse competitions will be another highlight with the Champions from each category going forward to compete for a £500 bounty for the Champion of Champions, kindly sponsored by PJ Skips.

There will be many exciting events going on around the Showground throughout the day, you need to be there to see it all unfold throughout the day. As Show day approaches more announcements will be made, so keep an eye on their website.
