Celebrating The Best of Kent at Kent County Show 2025
Amid the rolling fields and rich heritage of the Garden of England, the Kent County Show returns next summer to celebrate all that makes this corner of the country so unique. Taking place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of July 2025, the event offers a vibrant and immersive showcase of Kent’s farming traditions, food production, and rural culture — a true celebration of countryside life at its finest, hosted by the Kent County Agricultural Society.
Over three days, livestock, horses, vintage vehicles, retail stands and much more, will converge onto the Showground for a festival of the best of Kent. Discover fascinating aspects of rural life as you make your way around each of the Show’s educational and interactive sections.
Livestock remains a core part of the Show, and a favourite amongst visitors. Hundreds of cows, sheep and goats of all sizes, shapes, and colours converge to the Showground from across the South East and beyond, with their handlers, competing to take home the prize for ‘Best in Show’.
Opposite our Cattle rings, you will find the Living Land Village, an opportunity for people of all ages to learn more about food, farming and the environment. Discover how food is produced in the Garden of England and catch the famous dancing sheep in The Sheep Show, returning to the Kent County Show in 2025 by popular demand!
The Equine Village is a stunning display of horses and riders competing in classes ranging from showjumping to in-hand showing, and not forgetting the incredible carriage driving in the Double Harness Scurry! But no trip to the Equine Village would be complete without stopping by to greet the gentle giants in our Heavy Horse Village.
In the Kent YFC section, where the Kent Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs will celebrate it’s 80th anniversary in 2025, discover the incredible work of hundreds of young people aged 10 – 28 from around Kent as they go head-to-head in livestock classes to show off their knowledge, handling skills and passion for what they do.
Our Garden Life section, housed in the Maidstone Exhibition Hall, is an opportunity to marvel at incredible displays from schools, community gardens and individuals alike, whilst a short stroll from here to the Heritage area offers a chance to see stunning classic vehicles of all ages and types, lovingly preserved and cared for by their passionate owners.
Discover the joys of the countryside in our Countryside Village! Featuring longstanding favourites such as the dog agility demonstrations and K9 Aqua Sports’ deck diving, the Countryside Village will also play host to an array of displays and businesses to give visitors a taste of the rural pursuits on their doorstep, including fly fishing demonstrations and countryside talks.
The Woodland Area showcases the skills and crafts of the woodland and forestry industry and is the perfect place to discover more on the county’s woodlands and the work needed to maintain and conserve them.
Whilst rural life is at the very heart of the Kent County Show, no trip would be complete without a little retail therapy and a stroll around our main shopping avenues offers visitors the opportunity to discover local businesses of every variety! Be sure to stop by the fabulous Produced In Kent section, where you can sample Kent’s finest produce and show your support for our local makers and growers.
NEW for 2025, be sure to take a stroll around the Festival of Food! A feast for all the senses, the Festival of Food is the place to be to discover delicious foods from artisan producers from across Kent and beyond!
The Village Green provides the perfect sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the Show, an opportunity to rest your legs and enjoy a picnic, or perhaps try something delicious from an array of cuisines on offer from independent catering units from Kent and beyond. Enjoy live music from great local acts with a cool drink in hand, or head to the public bar and restaurant for refreshments and while your little ones get stuck into our craft workshop.
Last, but by no means least, the John D Wood & Co. Astor Ring is the place to be for the pinnacle of the Kent County Show’s schedule! Catch the Grand Parade of Livestock on Saturday afternoon, as all the winners from the intense schedule of breed classes are led out to the main ring, adorned with their rosettes and, for the lucky few, Champion’s Sashes. Every day, you’ll have the option to catch the incredible display from Joseph’s Amazing Camels! A highlight on any show’s schedule, this amazing team put on a show like no other and are certainly not to be missed. Once their exciting display is over, head to their special Showground home next to the Alan Day House for a chance to get up close and say hi to the camels!
