Meaning has been attributed to flowers for thousands of years and gifts of blooms, plants and floral arrangements have long been a tradition whether for a birthday, anniversary, Mother’s Day or just because… flowers make the perfect gift for any occasion.

Set in the heart of historic Battle, Flowers by Sasha is a unique yet traditional florist with bouquets and arrangements that are truly bespoke to each individual customer and requirement. With every arrangement created, Sasha stands by her motto that every time you give someone flowers you are sending a message showing how you feel about them.’ When you visit the shop the focus is on creating a flower arrangement that delivers the message and feeling you intend, it is a translation of words into blooms, whether it’s a treat for yourself or a gift.

The passion Sasha has for floristry shines through in every bouquet that she creates, they are a true work of art and it is this love of blooms that saw her resiliently set up her new business during the pandemic and manage the influx of Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter bouquets and displays all a month apart whilst trading behind doors.

It’s certainly time to start decking the halls’, in the run-up to Christmas, and creating a fabulously festive display at home. Christmas isn’t just about the tree, natural foliage and flowers are a sustainable way to decorate your home anytime but especially at Christmas. A wreath on the door, a garland above a fireplace and a table display of fresh seasonal blooms and greenery are great ways to bring natural festive colour to your home.

At this time of year Sasha blends fresh seasonal blooms, like lilies and chrysanthemums and combines them with berries and foliage, such as eucalyptus. These are then arranged with dried flowers and or a novelty pick to create a lasting memento after the fresh flowers have passed.
