There’s a party going on... and everyone is invited!

As many of us missed out on the usual festivities last year, now is our chance to make up for lost time and get the party planning in full swing. Whether you’re organising a big bash or an intimate affair, gather the family, your friends or colleagues around a table and start planning for that well-deserved and missed Christmas party. We have a lot of catching up to do!

Family
Take the stress out of planning and preparing a festive feast at home and book a table at one of the many restaurants, pubs and hotels in the area that are advertising a Christmas menu. Christmas dinner with all the trimming and no washing up at the end, what’s not to like?

Friends
Now is your opportunity to let your hair down, gather your friends from near and far and party like you’ve never done before. It’s a chance to dig out the party wear from the back of the cupboard or treat yourself to a glamorous new outfit.

Colleagues
Whilst the workplace for some is still in the home, this Christmas is the time to get away from your screen and bring the company back together again face-to-face. The one thing you will have to remember is to make sure you’ve changed out of your pyjama bottoms!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
Whilst there are a variety of local venues preparing for the festive season, to whet your appetite we have listed a few which are advertising their Christmas menu and are taking bookings now. Let the festivities commence…

But if all that sounds too much then why not…
Dress up to stay in

Hosting a festive party at home? Then here are some idea to consider when
planning your soirée:

Pick a theme – another way to create an even more memorable event is to choose a theme. From the decorations and food to the choice of music and outfits a linking theme will add even more fun. Think black tie or a novelty affair.

Decorations – create a warm and inviting winter wonderland for your guests to enjoy. Natural materials for decorations are in high demand this year with the focus on bringing the outside in. There are plenty of ways, using natural materials, to decorate your home and be kind to the planet. Pine cones, branches, seasonal foliage and berries make great displays, especially with a string of traditional fairy lights.

Food and drink – Christmas is a time for indulgence when it comes to food and drink, it could be anything from luxury canapés and cocktails to a fantastic festive feast for all to share. Another option is to ask your guests to each bring a dish, it’s a fun way to get everyone involved whilst laying on a fabulous spread.

Set the tone –everyone loves nostalgic Christmas tunes but it’s a good idea to have an additional playlist, which doesn’t leave your guests wishing that they had heard Wham! Last Christmas for the very last time!

It’s certainly time to get planning, for Christmas 2021
