From December 1, 2023, to January 1, 2024, the heart of Tunbridge Wells will once again transform into a magical winter wonderland, offering a unique ice-skating experience for visitors of all ages.
Following the resounding success of previous years, SKATE Tunbridge Wells is going to be bigger and better than ever before. The event will be hosted at the picturesque Calverley Grounds, creating a captivating festive atmosphere that will transport visitors to a winter paradise right in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
Calverley Grounds will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and an indoor seating area for those who’d prefer a glass of mulled wine after, or instead of, skating. The centrepiece of the event, the ice rink, promises hours of enjoyment for skaters of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or taking to the ice for the first time, there’s room for everyone on the rink.
Our exceptionally popular Bavarian Curling returns too after selling out for the last two years! Participants can enjoy the exhilarating experience of curling on ice while competing with friends, colleagues and family. Bavarian Curling promises endless entertainment and a chance to create unforgettable memories on the ice.
For parents with young children, the Parent & Toddler Rink is the perfect way to introduce your little ones to the joys of ice skating in a safe and family-friendly environment. With dedicated sessions designed exclusively for parents and toddlers, it’s an opportunity for the entire family to enjoy quality time together during the festive season.
The 2023 SKATE Tunbridge Wells event will also feature a delightful selection of food and drink stalls, offering a range of delicious treats and warm beverages to keep visitors cosy and satisfied as they enjoy the festivities.
